Getting it right first time in Market Harborough
Monday, 02 December 2013
Multi Resource Marketing (MRM) is a marketing agency that provides a whole host of marketing materials, products and services to major blue-chip organisations.
They work from a 125,000 sq ft facility that combines their warehouse, production and office base.
In August 2013 the region experienced flash flooding which MRM, like many other businesses, fell victim too. The facility’s guttering could not handle the volume of rain falling; water went through the roof, the mezzanine floor and the ceiling onto the ground floor of the premises. The extent of the damage was such that a quick assessment was needed to enable MRM to get their business up and running promptly but most of all safely.
A local electrician quoted over £2000 just to the electrical system with potential additional costs once the full extent of the damage was uncovered. As the cost was seemingly very high, we were asked to respond; our engineer went to the premises as soon as the call was made. We found that the initial assessment was overstated and the work was far less costly than the local electrician had suggested.
For MRM they key issue was to get the business up and running as normal. Having carried out an initial repair which enabled MRM to return to work, our Engineer arranged for a minor scope of repairs to be completed out-of-hours in order to minimise further disruption to the client.
